Restaurants · Ilkley
A little pocket of Italy tucked into the countryside outside Ilkley, this is the sort of place families drive a fair way for — and plenty do. There's free parking, buggy access and high chairs, a kids' menu, and a genuinely lovely outdoor area for when small people need to move about. The sourdough pizza gets the loudest praise, along with sausage rolls, toasties, good coffee and generous, properly cooked food; there are vegan choices too. Staff are warm and attentive, and the relaxed atmosphere with jazz playing suits a slow lunch more than a quick refuel. Muddy boots and dogs are welcomed rather than tolerated. Worth knowing: portions can be inconsistent — a few have found the scones and sandwiches small for the price — and building work has meant temporary rooms. One family calls it "an absolute gem".

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
