Tucked on the corner of the village green in Ingham, this 200-year-old pub is an easy stop with children — free parking, buggy access through the door, high chairs and a kids' menu, and outdoor tables on warmer days. Inside it's beamed and softly lit with fairy lights strung from old ladders overhead, which small children tend to find fascinating. Everything is cooked from scratch by the owner, and it shows: fish and chips, burgers with homemade slaw, curries, and a Sunday roast that arrives in generous portions. Two starters, two mains and drinks came to around £42. Staff are patient and genuinely welcoming, and they'll go out of their way for anyone who needs a hand getting in. Vegetarian choices are thin, and it's small enough that booking is wise. Dogs are welcome too. One visitor calls it "a hidden treasure".
