Gastropub · Marlborough
Tucked away in Mildenhall just outside Marlborough, this is a village pub that manages to feel smart and relaxed at once — busy and buzzing on a Sunday, but not the sort of noise that makes you tense up when a toddler joins in. The garden is a good size with wooden benches and proper tables, there's plenty of free parking, and buggy access, high chairs and a kids' menu are all sorted. The Sunday roasts are the draw: pork belly and roast beef both come in for real praise, with crisp Yorkshires, seriously good homemade gravy and cauliflower cheese people still talk about afterwards. The kitchen is genuinely good with allergies too — one diner arrived to find the menu already marked up for coeliac. Book if you can; tables go fast at weekends.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
