There's a plant-based menu that's been genuinely thought through (the vegan wellington gets particular praise), plus gluten-free dishes done well. Free parking, high chairs, a kids' menu, buggy access and outdoor seating cover the practicalities, and the loos are spotless. Staff are unflappable — one group of twelve walked in without booking and were seated without fuss. Worth knowing: it's a softly-spoken, relaxed room rather than a boisterous one, so a very noisy toddler may draw glances, and prices sit at the higher end.
