Holyrood Coffee Shop
A well-liked Edinburgh café rated 4.6, with a relaxed feel that makes it an easy stop for a coffee with little ones.

Pub · Edinburgh
Tucked a block off the Royal Mile on Holyrood Road, this is a roomy pub where you can actually get a table and hear each other talk — the music lifts the room without anyone having to shout, which makes it workable with children in tow. Buggy access, high chairs and a kids' menu are all sorted. The burgers are the reason people come back: enormous, properly seasoned, with crisp chips and onion rings alongside, and the haggis bon bons and chorizo scotch egg are worth ordering too. Staff are patient and genuinely kind, and on a busy visit they still found room in the back dining room. Worth knowing it can run short-staffed at peak times, so drinks and food occasionally take a while — order everything at once if you've got a hungry toddler.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
