Tucked behind the old grange school site next to the gymnastics centre, this one takes a bit of finding — but the huge shared car park means you can pull up, unload the pram and wheel straight in without a fight. Inside is small, clean and calm, with a garden and outside seating plus a little play area to release the children into while you finish a coffee. The counter keeps Ella's Kitchen pouches and smoothies alongside the grown-up stuff, and the cakes are the draw: lemon and raspberry, berry drizzle, flapjacks thick with nuts and fruit, in decent-sized portions. Prices are fair and the staff are noticeably kind — they'll carry your tray if your arms are full. One parent calls it "a hidden gem in the community". Vegan choices are limited, especially savoury.
