Tucked away on a farm complex just outside town, this one takes a bit of finding — there's an automatic gate you press a button to get through, which throws a few people at first. Once you're in there's plenty of free parking and EV chargers, and seating for every kind of weather: sunny outdoor tables, a wind-protected covered bit, and a heated indoor room round the back. Books and games are left out to borrow, which buys you a good twenty minutes. The toasties come on thick bread and are generously filled, the caramelised onion sausage rolls get raved about, and portions are big for the price. Staff are friendly and no one hurries you along. Cake choice can be thin by the afternoon, and dogs are only allowed in the covered outdoor section.
