Elm Grove Cafe
Budget-friendly Brighton café with a kids' menu, high chairs, vegan options and outdoor seating for easy family meals.

Pub · Brighton
Tucked down a Brighton back street, this pub earns its keep on Sundays — roasts that come in for real praise, whether it's the pork belly, the short rib, or the four-meat plate, with dessert worth staying for and veggie options that aren't an afterthought. There's plenty of space inside, so a pram isn't a problem, and buggy access and free parking take the stress out of arriving. High chairs and a kids' menu are there, plus a garden — though the route out to it involves stairs and a few odd turns, so keep hold of little hands. Staff are warm and chatty, and the chef has been known to come out and ask how the food was. It can get properly busy, and one person behind the bar at a rush means a wait. One parent simply calls it "home".

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
