Bath's central streets hide plenty of places that don't work with children, but this one does — buggy access, high chairs, a kids' menu and free parking take the usual stress out of the arrival. It looks like a small shabby-chic café and then serves food that genuinely surprises people: the bang bang broccoli comes up again and again as the dish to order, crispy and properly sauced, alongside a much-loved house burger and the cauliflower-and-chickpea curry. Breakfasts are generous, everything is vegan and nearly all of it can be made gluten-free, which solves a lot of family juggling at once. The team are warm and patient, happy to explain what's in a dish. Small plates are meant to be shared at two or three per person, so watch the bill — and outdoor seating helps when little ones need room.
