Set beside a golf course with a big free car park right outside, this is an easy one for families — buggies in without a fuss, high chairs, a kids' menu, and enough room that big groups fill the place on an ordinary Wednesday without it feeling cramped. Food comes out fast and hot, which matters when someone's hungry and wobbling; the naan gets singled out again and again, and the lamb tikka biryani and Chicken Sri Lanka have their devotees. Staff greet you at reception, walk you to your table, joke with the children, and have been known to sort plates for a birthday cake brought from home. Prices are fair for the quality. Two things worth knowing: book ahead if there are three or more of you, and heat levels can land milder than described.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
