Crowne Plaza Plymouth by IHG
Relaxed Plymouth hotel with a restaurant, sea views, indoor pool and gym — an easy mid-range base for a family stay.

Pub · Plymouth
Right in the middle of Plymouth, this nautically themed pub leans into the city's maritime history, and it's the kind of place where a parent can order a proper meal without feeling out of place. The Sunday roast is the thing people come back for — a choice of meats, each arriving with a stuffing ball, Yorkshire pudding and cauliflower cheese thrown in, plus melt-in-the-mouth rib of beef and generous veg. The Gypsy burger and the steaks get similar praise. There's a kids' menu, high chairs and outdoor seating for warmer days. Staff are warm and quick with a smile, though at peak Sunday times they're visibly stretched and service can slow. Book ahead — it fills up. Quieter than you'd expect for a city pub, with what one visitor called a "good atmosphere" rather than a din.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
