A handy lunch stop next to the supermarket, with a few free spaces right out front and buggy access straight in — useful when you've got a pram and a toddler who won't wait. Inside it's nicely decorated and dog friendly, with high chairs and a kids' menu. The sandwiches are the thing to order: good bread, properly melty cheese, and they arrive fairly quickly. Cakes and cheesecake get warm words too — flavourful without being sickly. Two coffees and a slice of cake came to about £11.50. Worth knowing: the team juggles a busy takeaway counter, so service can slow to a 20-minute wait at peak times, and one parent found nobody acknowledged them at the door. Fine if you're not rushing somewhere after.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
