Tucked in the middle of Sheffield on Division Street, this is a roomy, high-ceilinged pub with a quirky interior and enough space to park a buggy without apologising to anyone. Afternoons are the sweet spot — 80s and 90s music playing gently, a breeze through the back, and a garden area out the rear where children can be a bit louder. Staff get consistent praise for being kind and patient, there are high chairs and a kids' menu, and the food is proper: hot fishcakes, potato skins, chicken Kyiv, and a burger one visitor rated against a good burger van. Pork scratchings are a small legend. Two honest snags: it fills up sharply after work on weekdays, so book if you're eating, and the beer isn't cheap — one regular baulked at £6 a pint.
