Tucked down a Cambridge back street, this is a small, warmly eccentric local where the pull is drink rather than dinner — the kitchen isn't the point, so come for a mid-afternoon pause or a garden pint rather than a full family meal. The Belgian beer list is genuinely unusual, with tasting notes on the board and staff happy to steer you through it, alongside local ales, ciders and plenty of soft drinks. Being small, it's cosy rather than roomy — the outdoor seating on the pedestrian path is the easier option with a pram, and there's buggy access, high chairs and a kids' menu if you need them. The no-phones rule keeps it chatty rather than rowdy. Staff are notably kind; one visitor asked for a cup of tea that isn't on the menu and got one, with lemon. Live music nights get busy.
