Warm, family-run Plymouth Italian with huge portions, fast service, a kids' menu and high chairs — book ahead, it fills most evenings.

Brunch · Plymouth
A Plymouth brunch spot where the downstairs counter does takeaway coffee and pastries and the upstairs room handles the sit-down menu — worth knowing which you're after with a pram in tow. Tables aren't jammed together, so it stays manageable even when full, and the team moves fast: water and menus arrive almost before you've sat down, and food comes out quickly. High chairs, a kids' menu and vegan options are all sorted. Portions are generous for the price — the hashbrowns, macaroni, banana and bacon french toast and breakfast quesadilla all get raved about, and the maple pecan croissant is the pastry to order. Two snags: weekends bring a queue outside, so aim for 9–10am, and there's an optional service charge on the bill. One family loved the little skillet of Haribo eggs at the end.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
