Restaurant · Cambridge
Tucked into a pub site in Cambridge with its own free car park (you register your plate inside), this is roomier than you'd expect — one visitor called it "surprisingly spacious", which matters when you've arrived with a buggy and a bag of snacks. The garden seating is a genuinely lovely spot on a warm day. Food comes out fast and piping hot, and the staff are friendly about odd requests, including splitting an awkward number of dumplings between children. Go for the fried pork and chive dumplings, the melty thousand-layer pork, or the "over the bridge" noodles; portions are generous and there's a kids' menu, high chairs and vegan options. Worth knowing: the evening lighting is very red, and the braised pork belly noodles are properly, seriously spicy.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
