Cousin Jack's Fish and Chips
A well-rated, easy-on-the-wallet Camborne chippy with a kids' menu — a simple, friendly choice for family fish and chips.

Tucked into a former mine building at King Edward Mine on the edge of Troon, this is the sort of stop that turns a walk on the Great Flat Lode trail into a proper meal. Parking is free and easy, there's buggy access and high chairs, and outdoor tables for when everyone needs air. Portions are big enough that takeaway boxes get requested, and the kitchen has a surprising Asian streak alongside the full English — Korean fried chicken, the Korean fried waffle with tofu, spiced fries — plus a kids' menu and good vegan and veggie choices. Sunday roasts get high praise for the vegetables. The hot drinks are a highlight, with unusual flavours like a Black Forest mocha. Staff are attentive and welcoming; one snag, they don't do swaps on breakfasts. Worth booking for a Sunday.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
