Café · Burton-on-Trent
Tucked into a working farmyard with a shop and a few small businesses around it, this is a rustic, industrial-styled café where the tables aren't crammed together and there's room to park a pram. The team is the real draw — warm, chatty, happy to warm up food you've brought for a baby, and unbothered when a toddler starts dancing in the high chair to the music. Bacon pancakes, jacket potatoes with chilli and cheese piled with fresh salad, and the scones all get proper praise, and portions are generous for the price. Caramel iced coffees are worth ordering. Outdoor tables are lovely in the sun and service holds up out there. Two things to know: breakfast stops at 11.30am, and service can occasionally be slow.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
