About The Crafty Egg

Bristol's brunch crowd has clearly found this one, so go early or expect to queue — some families wait 20 or 30 minutes on a weekend, and the room is snug rather than sprawling. Step-free access means you can get a buggy in, though at peak times you'll be threading between tables. Once you're seated the staff are quick and attentive, checking in after food arrives, and there's a kids' menu, high chairs and outdoor seating when the weather plays along. The hash browns come up again and again — served with poached egg, crumbly feta and garlic yoghurt — alongside Turkish eggs, kimchi braised mushrooms and a properly good London Fog. Vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free eaters are well looked after. Prices sit in the reasonable-not-cheap bracket, and one parent called the food "worth the wait".
