Glentress Forest Café
A relaxed Peebles café with a kids' menu, high chairs, outdoor seating and vegan options — handy for a family stop.

Restaurants · Peebles
Tucked just outside Peebles in the grounds of a walled garden, this is a genuinely easy stop with small children — free parking, a level courtyard you can wheel a buggy straight into, high chairs, and a kids' menu. The courtyard itself is sheltered and catches the sun even in colder months, so it works for outdoor lunches longer than you'd expect; when it rains, there's a wood fire at the back of the room. The food is properly good: fresh homemade soup with wholemeal bread, a much-praised BLT baguette, avocado toast, scones and pancakes, and a specials board worth a look. Staff are attentive and make a real effort with families, though when it's busy the food can take a while and it's harder to catch someone's eye. Dogs welcome too.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
