A Sunday carvery here is the kind that beats a grown adult, let alone a child — thick slices of beef, turkey or gammon, a proper spread of vegetables and potatoes, and portions that mean nobody leaves hungry. It's family-run and it shows: the owners work the room, the person carving keeps up a stream of good-natured banter, and the team are patient and genuinely helpful without hovering. Coeliac and allergy needs are handled well, which families come back for. There are high chairs, a kids' menu, level buggy access, outdoor seating and free parking. Sunday lunch and larger tables need booking, and the odd carvery tray can look a bit tired late in the service — but one parent found the whole thing "well worth the price" at around £16.50 a head.
