Set right on the Leys recreation ground, this is the sort of place you end up at after the play area — buggy straight in, tables outside in the sun, free parking, and no one minding if children are loud. Breakfasts are the draw: two full English with a hot drink each has come in around £16, piping hot, with generous extras. The jacket potato with cheese, beans and that properly homemade coleslaw gets its own following, and the pizzas and paninis are well liked too. There's a kids' menu, high chairs, and even a doggy menu with puppuccinos. Staff genuinely seem happy to be there and are flexible with orders. Two honest notes: it's small, service can slow at busy times, and the seating isn't the comfiest. One parent calls it "a credit to the town".
