Dobbies Garden Centre Shepton Mallet
A Shepton Mallet garden centre with a food hall and restaurant, making an easy stop for a family meal while you shop.

Cafés · Shepton Mallet
Tucked in the heart of Shepton Mallet, this place looks small from the pavement but keeps unfolding once you're inside — two levels, a newer ground-floor room, and tables set a good distance apart, which makes a real difference when you've got a pram and a toddler who won't sit still. Parents rate the staff highly: warm, quick, and happy to adapt dishes for dairy-free or vegan eaters without being asked twice. The food punches well above café standard — the veggie burger with fries and coleslaw, tuna melts, egg and halloumi on sourdough, coconut and lime cake — and the coffee is a genuine local point of pride. Outdoor seating in the town centre is lovely in fine weather. It does get busy, and prices have crept up, though one regular still calls it excellent value.
