John Milne Table Table
Quiet Rochdale spot with kids' menu, high chairs, step-free buggy access and outdoor seating — booking recommended.

Restaurant · Rochdale
A Rochdale spot that families slip into easily — open-plan dining means a toddler can stomp about with some independence, there's a well-kept garden with blankets for chilly evenings, and free parking plus buggy access takes the faff out of arriving. The team are genuinely good with small children: little ones' food comes out first, high chairs are there, and they've been known to bring out a birthday cake families brought in themselves. Food is a proper step up from pub standard — sirloin and fillet cooked as asked with blue cheese sauce, sea bass, the homemade burger, ginger sponge and chocolate fudge gateau for pudding. Portions are generous, prices reasonable. Background music sits at a level you can talk over. The steak pie divides opinion slightly — great crust, milder gravy.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
