Right on the Findhorn estuary, this is the kind of place where the view does a lot of the heavy lifting — raised window counter seating looks straight out over the water, and there's a snug by the log burner if the weather's against you. Plenty of seating options means room to park a pram, and with a kids' menu, high chairs and free parking it's an easy stop. The fish and chips are the thing people come back for: generous, piping hot, with tartare sauce that gets its own praise. The Cullen skink is excellent too, and there are decent gluten-free options at breakfast and lunch. Two honest notes: portions are priced at the upper end for the area, and if you sit outside in summer, wasps can be a nuisance. A riverside walk right there helps burn off lunch.
