Tucked away enough that you'll drive past other places to find it, this little café rewards the detour — and the free parking and buggy-friendly space make it an easy stop with small ones. Everything is cooked from scratch, which is the honest catch: food can take a while, and one family waited an hour for a stray order, so it's better suited to a relaxed morning than a hungry toddler on a countdown. Order a drink and a cake first and you'll be fine. The breakfasts get particular praise, as does the homemade roasted red pepper and tomato soup, the cheeseburger with wedges "like mini jacket potatoes", and a cake counter baked fresh through the day. Big groups are welcomed warmly, portions are generous, prices reasonable, and there's outdoor seating, high chairs and a kids' menu.
