The front section is a heated conservatory-style space with fairy lights — warm even on a cold morning, and roomier than the main room if you've got a buggy. Breakfast and brunch come out hot and fast, the omelettes are generous, and the yoghurt, fruit and granola is a genuinely good children's option; there's a kids' menu, high chairs and outdoor seating too. The sea bass salad and the Sunday roast get the most love, and portions justify the ££. Vegan choices exist — the nut roast is well liked — but they're limited, so check ahead if that matters. One honest snag: the toilets are awkward and dated, which is worth knowing with a toddler in tow.
