This is a whole complex rather than a single room, which works in your favour with children — an open, well-laid-out precinct with a partial roof overhead, so a bit of Cheltenham drizzle won't end the outing. Buggies get in easily and there's space to park one beside a table, with high chairs and a kids' menu available. Plenty of the restaurants and bars put seating outside, good in summer, and there's a cinema, ten-pin bowling, mini golf and shops if you need to burn off restless energy before or after eating. Mowgli and Prezzo come up again and again as good bets, and it's clean and well maintained throughout. Two honest notes: the music inside some venues runs loud enough to make conversation hard, and Christmas brings live music and character meet-and-greets that draw big crowds.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
