Barnham Broom Hotel, Spa, Gym & Golf Club
A relaxed Norwich hotel with an on-site brasserie, two golf courses and a spa — an easy base for a family weekend.

Restaurant · Norwich
Set in the Norfolk countryside just outside the city, this is a smarter, slower sort of dinner than most family outings — and it works better than you'd expect with children in tow. There's a kids' menu, high chairs and step-free access for a pram, plus outdoor seating when the weather plays along. The staff are the real draw: attentive, happy to talk you through the menu, and patient in a way that matters when someone's wriggling. Cod and pasta mains land well, breakfast eggs Benedict gets glowing praise, and afternoon tea is a genuine treat. Be warned, it isn't cheap — vegetables and chips are charged separately, a service charge is added, and portions can run small. The dining room is dark and low-lit in the evening, so lunch or afternoon tea suits younger children better.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
