Honest Burgers Cardiff
Central Cardiff burger spot with a kids' menu, high chairs, fast service, generous chips and genuinely helpful allergy and veggie options.

Cardiff's Botanist leans more grown-up than soft-play, but it works with children if you time it right — a Sunday afternoon is calm and roomy, while Friday and Saturday nights bring a live band and real volume. The room itself is genuinely lovely, all plants and warm decoration, and there's outdoor seating plus space to get a pram in. High chairs and a kids' menu are there, with vegan options too. Staff are warm and check in often, though drinks can be slow when it's busy — order little ones' food first. The spicy prawns starter and the chicken parmesan escalope get particular praise, and the cookie dough with ice cream is the one families talk about afterwards. Worth booking, and it's a slight step up in price for what arrives.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
