The Vine Inn
Quiet Oxford pub with step-free buggy access, high chairs, a kids' menu, outdoor seating and free parking.

Restaurant · Oxford
Big old pub on the edge of Oxford with fireplaces, a proper car park and enough room inside that a pram isn't a problem — though the car park fills up fast on Friday and Saturday nights, so come early or expect a walk from the road. The food is pub classics done properly rather than fussy gastropub plates: battered halloumi to share, burgers, shepherd's pie, tarte tatin that people still talk about afterwards. Staff are friendly and unhurried with tables, and service kept moving even on a heaving Friday, though at quieter times it can be leisurely between courses. Two honest snags: it's on the pricier side and portions lean elegant rather than enormous, so a hungry teenager may want pudding. High chairs, a kids' menu, vegan options and outdoor seating are all there. Book for Sunday lunch or a group.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
