Café · Torquay
A proper little greasy spoon on Babbacombe Road, and one that's earned its 4.7 from parents as much as anyone. Breakfast is the thing here — the mega breakfast comes generously portioned, the full English is a steal at around £7.50, and the sausage and egg baps have a following. Food arrives fast and piping hot, which matters when someone at the table is losing patience. There's a kids' menu, high chairs, buggy access and a few outdoor tables, plus jacket potatoes, omelettes and homemade chilli if breakfast isn't the plan. The staff are warm with strangers — one visitor said they felt like a local within minutes — and dogs are welcome too. Worth knowing it's small, so a pram and a big group need a quiet moment; nobody reports feeling rushed, though.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
