Cafés · Abingdon
Tucked beside the local church with free parking right outside, this restored barn has been turned into something genuinely easy with children. There are books and games for little ones, a proper kids' menu with colouring, high chairs and level access for a pram, plus tables you can reserve — and two loft-style seating areas upstairs that are brighter and noticeably quieter when you need to escape the buzz. Prices are gentle: one family managed three breakfast items, two cakes and two drinks for around £20. The breakfast toastie and the cakes get the loudest praise, and the staff are warm and quick with drinks. Fair warning — it's mostly coffee, cake and light bites rather than hot mains, it can get properly loud at busy times, and opening hours are limited, so check before you set off.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
