Small, well-rated and quietly excellent, this is the kind of place where a vegan family stops having to ask awkward questions — plant-based and non-vegan dishes sit side by side on the menu without any fuss, and the choice of vegan cakes and hot snacks is unusually generous. Breakfast is the thing people come back for, and many leave with bread and sausages to take home too. Food arrives quickly, which matters when a toddler has hit the wall, and the staff are warm rather than harried. There's a buzz to the room, so it's cheerful rather than hushed — fine for a noisy two-year-old. High chairs, a kids' menu, buggy access and outdoor seating are all sorted, and parking is free. With only a handful of ratings so far it's a bit of an unknown quantity, but every one of them is glowing.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
