Cafés · Lynton
Up on Caffyns Farm you get a proper old barn with beams for lunch, a garden looking out over the Bristol Channel towards Wales, and donkeys and sheep in the next field — plus goats you can pet and feed, which buys you a good half hour of happy children. There's genuine room here: space to spread out with a pram, outdoor tables, a kids' menu, high chairs and free parking. Food is fresh and reasonably priced, with generous portions — the ploughman's is big enough for two before you get to the cakes, the fry-up breakfast is well spoken of, and the pizza gets praise too. The team are warm and unhurried with families. One snag: it's tucked away and badly signed from the main road, so put the postcode in before you set off.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
