Rainforest Diner
A laid-back Boston coffee shop with a kids' menu and outdoor seating, easy for a relaxed family bite to eat.

A proper country pub setting in a pretty rural spot, with plenty of free parking right outside and a garden for when children need to run about. Inside, the main dining area is a big conservatory-style room, roomy enough for a buggy, though bar tables tucked by the windows are the cosier, quieter option if you've got a toddler who'd rather not be in the thick of it. Staff are attentive without hovering and check back mid-meal. Sunday lunch is the thing here — proper roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings, fresh seasonal vegetables served in separate dishes — and food tends to land in ten to fifteen minutes. Portions are generous, the slow-roasted pork belly with apple gravy gets particular praise. It's a touch pricier than nearby pubs and gets busy, so book ahead. Dogs welcome too.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
