The Greyhound Inn
A well-loved, budget-friendly Knighton pub with outdoor seating and a warm welcome for families.

Restaurant · Knighton
Set inside an old bank in a small Powys town, this one surprises people — a couple of visitors from out of town said they'd walked past twice before trying it. The old vault is still there to sit in, and there's a sheltered outdoor area that stays usable when the weather turns, plus animal sculptures dotted about that kept one two-year-old happily occupied through lunch. Staff will squeeze you in without a booking on a busy night and are patient with families. Food people come back for: scampi with proper homemade tartare, steak with chunky chips, and fries that get talked about more than anything else. Portions are generally generous, though one visitor found a £17 burger underwhelming and the building a little worn in places. High chairs, a kids' menu, vegan options and free parking. Monthly discos, too.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
