Pizza 500
Cheap and cheerful Brighton Italian with a kids' menu, high chairs, step-free access, outdoor seating and gluten-free choices.

Pub · Brighton
Ten minutes from Preston Circus, this is a family-run pub that's been turned around completely — a scruffy old boozer once, now somewhere you'd happily bring the children on a Saturday. The draw is the barbecue, and it's genuinely worth the trip: big smoke platters heaped with brisket, burnt ends and smoked sausage, burnt butter mash, and a moving mountains burger the veggies rave about. Food lands fast — one couple had theirs within twenty minutes of sitting down — which matters when someone's fraying. It's cosy rather than cavernous, so a pram takes a bit of shuffling, but there are high chairs, a kids' menu, outdoor seating and no sense of being hurried out. Do book: they smoke to order, and tables go. Dog friendly too, with board games knocking about.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
