Sunday lunch is the thing to plan around here — roasts arrive generously portioned and taste properly home-cooked, and the prices feel fair for what lands on the table. Portion sizes come up again and again: the chef's burgers turn up huge with onion rings, fries and salad, and plenty of people are too full for pudding. The kitchen also does specials worth a look, with the katsu curry and sea bass both singled out. Staff are warm with visitors and happy to chat, which helps when children need a bit of patience. There's a kids' menu, high chairs, outdoor seating for warmer days, step-free access for a pram and free parking outside. It can be quiet at off-peak times — one family worried at first, then found the food and service excellent.
