Munro's Nurseries
A highly rated Inverness garden centre that makes for an easy, relaxed wander with the little ones in tow.

Restaurants · Munlochy
A former coaching inn on the Black Isle that turns out to be an easy stop with children in tow — free parking, high chairs, buggy access and a kids' menu, plus outdoor seating for when someone needs to be walked around. The team is young, friendly and patient, and they bring bread and a jug of water to the table almost as soon as you sit down. Portions are generous enough that they'll happily box up leftovers; the Scottish steak and porter pie and the mussels in white wine sauce come up again and again, as does the Sunday roast. Two honest notes: on a busy evening service can stretch a long way between courses, so don't book late with tired children, and desserts feel dear at £9 or so. Dogs are welcome too.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
