Cafés · Manchester
A Manchester café that has quietly become a regular for a lot of families, partly because it stays calm — the noise level is gentle enough that you can hear each other across the table, which is rare. Buggy access, high chairs, a kids' menu and free parking take the stress out of arriving, and there's outdoor seating for people-watching when a toddler needs a change of scene. Portions are generous for the price: thick toasted bacon-and-sausage baps with local sausage and a choice of three breads including gluten-free, grilled chicken salad, the avocado BLT, and proper cream teas with warm scones. Cakes are baked in house with plenty of vegan choices. The staff are patient and welcoming — nobody rushes you off a table. Afternoon tea is worth booking ahead, and one parent calls it "special me time with cake".

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
