Tucked away in Plymouth Market, this little spot does ramen and bao that people travel across town for — the tonkotsu broth gets the loudest praise, and the karaage is the sort of fried chicken that ruins other fried chicken for you. Food comes out fast and piping hot, which matters enormously when someone small has hit the wall. There's a kids' menu, high chairs, buggy access and free parking, and the team will happily make veggie dishes vegan if you ask. Prices are fair for the quality. The honest snag: it's small and gets properly busy, so tables are a bit of a scramble at peak lunchtime — one visitor described having to run for an empty one. Go slightly early or slightly late and it's a lovely, warm, unhurried meal.
