Al Molo Dorchester
Warm Italian spot with rave-worthy Neapolitan pizza, generous seafood pasta, kids' menu, high chairs and free parking — quieter at lunch.

Café · Dorchester
Tucked inside the museum just off the high street, this is an easy stop with a pram — buggy access, high chairs and a kids' menu are all sorted, and the room is handsome enough that a slow sit-down feels like a treat rather than a chore. Breakfast is the thing to come for: generously cooked scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, avocado eggs, and a sausage sandwich on Evershot bread that people still talk about afterwards. There's a superb sausage roll and a pot of tea at fair prices if you need something quicker, and the coffee is properly made. Staff are warm and efficient — one parent found the service "incredibly friendly". Worth knowing it fills up and tables can be scarce at busy times, you order and pay at the bar on the way out, and the exit runs through the museum shop.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
