Pan-Asian · Manchester
Downstairs but not gloomy — a hall-style room with windows, warm Asian-modern touches and long benches that give the place a proper buzz. Those benches are worth knowing about: on a busy day you may end up sharing a table, which is fine with older kids and trickier with a toddler mid-meltdown. Small plates are the easy win with children — prawn crackers, dumplings, chicken satay, duck pancakes — and one round covers two or three people. The pad thai gets genuine devotion from regulars, the vegan and vegetarian choices are strong, and the churros have converted more than one family. Do ask about spice levels, as some dishes land hotter than expected. High chairs, a kids' menu, outdoor seating and toilets on site. Prices lean a little high, but the staff are warm and walk-ins are often accommodated.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
