Roast meats are the whole point here — it's a counter inside a Birmingham food court, so seating is shared and casual, and nobody is going to mind a noisy table or a pram parked alongside. The char siu has genuine fans, who call it "spot-on" Hong Kong style, and the rice plates arrive generously loaded with a mix of roast pork, duck and goose at a fair price. There's a kids' menu and high chairs. It isn't flawless: at busy times food can take half an hour, orders sometimes come muddled or barely warm, and opinions split sharply over the wonton noodles, which more than a few found overcooked and bland. Go earlier rather than later — turn up near closing and the choice narrows to whatever meat is left. Stick to a roast rice plate and you'll eat well for the money.
