A busy little spot just outside Padstow with its own free parking, so you're not circling the streets with a toddler in the back. It fills up at lunchtime and late morning, and because everything's cooked fresh there's usually a short wait — ten minutes or so — though there's still room to get a pram in and sit down, and shops nearby if you need to walk a restless child around. The team are quick, cheerful and happy to tweak plates (no mushrooms, extra bacon), and they've been known to make a fuss of a birthday with a candle in the pancakes. Breakfast is the draw: enormous deep-fried hash browns, homemade kimchi alongside, proper coffee. Burgers, loaded fries and cakes all get raves. High chairs, a kids' menu, outdoor tables, vegan choices, and dogs welcome too.
