Scottish Restaurant · Glasgow
A long-standing Glasgow favourite that manages to be properly good food and still workable with children — there's a kids' menu, high chairs, buggy access, outdoor seating and free parking, which is a rare combination this close to the city. The menu leans on Scottish produce with global flavours thrown in; the haggis gets rhapsodised about repeatedly, and the coconut and pineapple curried mussels, the sourdough and the rib eye all come up. Staff are friendly and good at steering you through the menu, and will find you a table with atmosphere but not too loud if you ask. Portions are generous — one diner warns you'll "leave FULL of food". Worth knowing: it packs out even midweek, so book, and on a busy night service can drift once you're seated.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
