Dobbies Garden Centre Braehead
A garden centre near Glasgow with a food hall and restaurant — a relaxed, mid-price stop for a family bite while you shop.

Pub · Glasgow
Handy if you're near Braehead and someone's hungry now — this is a big, spotless pub where the carvery does the heavy lifting and the price stays gentle. Free parking outside makes the arrival easy with a buggy, and there's a proper beer garden for when the little ones need to burn off steam mid-meal. High chairs and a kids' menu are there, and the staff are genuinely warm; one visitor arriving frazzled after two hours in M8 traffic was shown straight to a table and looked after without fuss. The roast meats and fish and chips get the most praise, though the carvery can dry out late in the evening, so go earlier if you can. Portions on the small carvery plate divide opinion. App discounts are worth using, but the small print doesn't cover every main.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
