Cafés · Bristol
Tucked in among allotments and greenery beside the city farm, this is a spot where the children can run to the playground next door while you finish a coffee — and the coffee is genuinely excellent. There are books inside, a sunny balcony, and staff who chat to everyone and mean it. Food is fresh and made to order, with the hash and bean stew and the farmer's breakfast drawing the loudest praise, plus vegan options and a kids' menu. Two honest caveats: the café itself is tiny, with irregular wood beams and low ceilings, so the balcony and outdoor tables are where a pram is happiest; and the menu is short and pricier than portions suggest — around £10 for a bap. Weekday mornings are full of young families. Dogs welcome too.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
