Cafés · Keith
Right in the middle of Keith, this is the kind of café that works whether you've got a pram to park or a toddler who's had enough. It's on the flat with easy buggy access, high chairs are there, and parking isn't a struggle — free and no bother, one family notes. The burgers get the loudest praise: venison, wild boar, halloumi, all served with proper chips. Breakfasts are cooked well, the soup-and-roll deal is filling, and the deluxe hot chocolate has a following of its own — one family stopped in after sledging and the children were thrilled. Cakes look the part too, Victoria sponge included. The staff are warm and quick with children and dogs alike. Worth knowing: it's not cheap for what it is, around £7–£8 for soup and a roll, and it closes fairly early, so lunch rather than late afternoon.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
